Donald A. Carletti, age 79, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Oct. 6, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born March 29, 1944, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Alvaro D. and Michelina Ruth (Fusco) Carletti.

On Sept. 10, 1965, he married his beloved wife of 58 years, Karen (Gallagher) Carletti. She survives at home.

Donald was a 1962 graduate of New Castle High School. He attended Youngstown State University. For several years, Donald worked as an architectural draftsman, employed in New Castle and Youngstown. He enjoyed boating, fishing, woodworking, building and photography. What gave Donald the most joy in life, was spending time with his family. He was a member of Furfinfeather Sportsmen's Association.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by one son, Andrew D. Carletti, of Bridgeville, PA, and two grandchildren, Ella Carletti and Ethan Carletti.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Karen Stone.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be at Castleview Cemetery.
