Donald W. “Devo” Vaughan, age 65, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly at his home the morning of October 19, 2026.

Born August 28, 1961, in New Castle, he was the son of Thomas and Bertha (Ault) Vaughan.

Donald is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dawn (Martin) Vaughan, whom he married July 5, 1980.

He was a self-employed owner of Devon Construction. Donald had many hobbies and interests including swing dancing and participating in reenactments. He enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles, especially his Triumph.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (David) Larreau of New Castle; one son, Thomas Vaughan of New Castle; and two granddaughters, Lana “Tweedles” and Lyla “Squirtle” Larreau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas Vaughan.

A visitation will be held on Tues. Oct. 27th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
