Donald J. Durst, 62, of 829 Beckford Street, passed away the morning of November 25, 2011 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.Born January 24, 1949 in New Castle, he was a son of Anton Durst, Jr., and Dorothy Mann Durst.He was employed by Lark Enterprises for 45 years. Don was a member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 39. He was an avid Steeler, Penguins and Pirates fan.He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.He is survived by his mother, with whom he made his home; two brothers, David Durst and wife Loretta, and Chuck Durst, all of New Castle; three nieces; one nephew; and one great niece.He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Knight and Pastor Michael Spicuzza will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
