Donald G. Leach,90, of New Castle, entered into rest the morning of August 4, 2011 at Jameson Hospital North.Born May 4, 1921, he was the son of Guy and Electa Spanner Leach.Donald married Nora Kerner Leach on October 5, 1939. She survives.He served for the United States Navy during World War II. Donald worked at Jameson Hospital in the Imaging Deptartment, Pullman Standard and Youngtown Sheet and Tube.He enjoyed Scrabble, crossword puzzles and sudoku. Donald was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and was also a member of Mason's.In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by two sons, Gary Leach of New Castle and Don Leach of Niskayuna, New York; three grandchildren, Courntey, Jeffrey and Jennifer; and five great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Kenehan and Betty Robinson.Visitiation will be Sunday, August 7, 2011, from 1-4 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Road.The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the funeral home. The Rev. Joseph Langston will officiate.
