Donald C. Rodgers, 80, of New Castle, passed away the evening of February 22, 2013. He was born on February 29, 1932, in New Castle, to the late Fred and Pearl Graham Rodgers.He married the former Delores Duncan on Dec. 21, 1950. She survives. Donald spent most of his career as a truck driver with Motor Express and Smith Paving. Mr. Rodgers loved spending time at flea markets and working on cars. He attended Harlansburg Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Kamerer of New Castle; three sons, Clyde Rodgers of New Castle, Roger Rodgers of Volant and Michael Rodgers of Sharpsville; two sisters, Janet Strom of Pulaski and Bonnie Ankeridge of Enon Valley; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Rodgers was preceded in passing by his parents and his son Gerald Rodgers. In honoring Donald's requests, there will be no visitation or funeral services at this time.
