Donald N. Russo, 81 of New Castle, PA, died 2 January, 2026, at Jameson Memorial Hospital.

He was born on 25 January, 1944, to Erma Russo Guigliotto and Gerardo Guigliotto in New Castle, PA.

Donald graduated from New Castle High School and New Castle School of Trades.

He had five children, Michael T. Brown (biological) and daughter-in-law Jennifer (Cook) Brown of New Castle, PA, Dawna N. Brown (biological) of Harker Heights, TX, Sherry L. Gilbert and son in law Jamie Gilbert of New Castle, PA, Rodger L. Brown of Saint Pauls, NC, and Carol A. Pethtel of Austintown, OH.

He had nine grandchildren Evan and Emily Brown, Amber Sinibaldi, Kyle Gilbert, Raya Brown, and Carl, Christopher, Hunter, and Vincent Pethtel.

He worked and retired from Rockwell International, Truck Axel Division.

He was an avid member of numerous organizations including the Polish Falcons, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and The Moose Lodge. He enjoyed car shows, football, pool, and a legendary bowler of the New Castle area known for numerous perfect games. Donald was also the inventor and patent owner of The Lighted House Number.

He is survived by children and brother Louis Dottle Jr of New Castle, PA.

He was preceded in death by parents Erma and Gerardo Guigliotto, brothers Benjamin Dottle Sr, Rose Marie Ryhal, Delores Sager, Gerald Froello, extended siblings DWayne and Gordy Flak, and life partner Jennie H. (Blashack) Brown.
