Donna Louise Duncan, age 84, of Zelienople, PA, passed away Sept. 30, 2023, at Passavant Hospital.

Born Nov. 23, 1938, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Bertha L. (Eppinger) Walters.

Donna graduated from Laurel High School and attended New Castle Business College. She was the secretary with Universal Rundle Corporation.

Donna married Duane G. Duncan on Oct. 4, 1958. They lived in Gettysburg, PA, for ten years. For fifty-one years, they lived in Carlisle, PA. Donna was very involved in the Cumberland County 4-H program, Farm Wives and was the secretary of the wool growers association, for many years.

She and Duane loved to garden together throughout their, just shy of sixty-five-year, marriage. On Memorial Day, they cooked on an open fire their well-loved chicken for family and friends.

Donna loved to quilt, placing many firsts at the State Farm Show in Harrisburg, PA. She also loved to crochet shawls for her church in Carlisle and Zelienople. Donna handmade her Christmas cards each year with love.

Donna and Duane moved to Zelienople four years ago to be close to their family. She is a member of Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by Larry and Janet Duncan; Marilyn Whitmer; nieces and nephews Trinda Booher (Matt Harlan), Cathy Sodersten (Mark), Jodi Ketterer (Rick Nail), Brian Walters (Michelle), Pam Nasr (Isam), Chrissy Leidy (Ben), Kirk Whitmer (Kerstin), Janell Amodio (Ignazio), Sarah Scyster (Shawn), Emily Paladin (Larry), and Rachel Gabler (Rick), and several great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Dean and her brother, Larry Walters.

Visitation will be held on Wed. Oct. 4th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Thurs. Oct. 5th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place on Thurs. Oct. 5th, immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Owen, officiating.
