Donna M. Himes, 67, of Hillsville, passed away the morning of July 29, 2015 at her residence. Born February 28, 1948 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of Everett and Mary Lou Vannatten Allen. She was preceded in death on May 17, 2008 by her husband, Arthur Himes, whom she married on August 10, 1984. Donna attended New Wilmington High School and the New Castle School of Trades. She was employed by Wal-Mart as a cake decorator and retired in 2008. Previously she worked at Shenango China as a Liner for 12 years. Donna enjoyed bowling, knitting, teaching bible school at her church, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Mahoning United Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Davis of Woodstock, GA, and Diane Hedland of New Castle; four brothers, James R. Allen of Ocala, FL, Raymond L. Allen, Norman Allen, and Harry Allen all of Pulaski; one sister, Carol Campsey of Harwood, TX; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Allen and Robert Allen; one sister, Ruth Allen; and one granddaughter, Casey Schneider. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Road. A Memorial service will take place immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Byerly officiating. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
