Donna J. Kirkwood, 73, of Edinburg, passed away January 1, 2020 at The Grove at New Wilmington. Born August 13, 1946 in New Wilmington, she was the daughter of Grover Garrett, Sr. and Velma (Seidle) Garrett. Donna was preceded in death on February 28, 2019 by her husband of 50 years, Charles E. Kirkwood, Jr., whom she married March 6, 1968. A homemaker, Donna enjoyed flower gardening, trips to the casino and playing Bingo. She will be missed by her loving and loyal companion, "Rosie" her yellow lab who was her pride and joy. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. III and Melanie Kirkwood of Ellwood City; one daughter, Sandy Bromley of New Castle; 4 grandchildren, Alex and Katherine Kirkwood and Philip and Ryan Alex; 4 sisters, Sylvia, Naomi, Maude and Twila and 2 brothers, Henry and James. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in passing by 4 brothers, Arthur, Frank, Grover, Jr. and Wilbur and 5 sisters, Myrtle, Meade, Martha, Shirley and an infant sister, Bernice In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
