Dora Jane Morris, age 101, of Union Twp., passed away the morning of Dec. 4, 2020 at Shenango on the Green, New Wilmington.
Born Feb. 26, 1919, in Butler County, PA, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Annie (Manny) Eagal.
On June 26, 1940, she married her beloved husband of 75 and half years, Robert H. Morris. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 2012.
Dora was the last surviving member of the 1936 graduating class of Eastbrook High School. After graduation, and up until her marriage in 1940, Dora worked at Shenango Pottery. She enjoyed shopping and in her younger years, bowling. She loved watching the Pirates and Steelers. Dora loved being a homemaker and all the responsibility it brought, such as baking bread every week for 76 years, gardening with her husband and canning all the fruits and vegetables they grew, processing honey from their bees, and taking care of the farm animals. Dora also cherished the time she spent taking care of her mother, Ann, up until her death. What Dora enjoyed most of all, was spending time with her family and the people around her. She was a member of First Baptist Church, since 1970's.
Survivors include her daughters, Jayne (Raymond) Beech, and Susann Leonard; her grandchildren, Heather Wolfe, Kenneth Beech, Scott (Heather) Leonard and Curtis Leonard and his friend, Amanda; and her great-grandchildren, Riley, Joseph, and Daniel Leonard.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dora is preceded in death by her siblings, Stella (Claire) Smith, Robert C. (Estella) Eagal, Janet (Wm.) Nunn, Jean (Ted) Stevenson, son-in-law, Larry Leonard and grand-son-in-law, Brian Wolfe.
Due to the heath crisis, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A memorial service, for immediate family, will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, alongside her husband.
Memorial contributions may be offered to the Salvation Army.
