Doris L. Bintrim, age 96, formerly of Shenango Twp., passed away peacefully the evening of June 7, 2021, at her residence in Hermitage, PA. Born March 31, 1925, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Claude H. and Nancy (Robinson) Duncan. On Sept. 12, 1946, she married her beloved husband of 67 years, George Raymond Bintrim, following his return from deployment in the US Navy, serving in WWII. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2014. Doris grew up in Castlewood and was a graduate of Shenango High School. She was a homemaker who loved baking and will always be remembered for her delicious pies, as well as being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Doris was a self-taught pianist, she enjoyed playing hymns and singing. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she was involved in 3M class and Sparklers. What gave Doris the most joy in life, was spending time with her family. Doris is survived by one daughter, Linda S. King of Hermitage, PA; one son, Tim R. (Candace Nee Johnson) Bintrim of North Beach, MD; one brother, Elmer H. (Louise) Duncan of Vero Beach, FL; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Fri. June 11th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will follow visitation, immediately at noon, with Rev.
