Dorothy Mae (Pyne) Armagost, age 86 of New Castle, passed away the evening of June 28, 2019 at the Haven Convalescent Home. Born May 6, 1933 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Frances & Edith (Drum) Pyne. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed traveling, camping, soap operas and watching the Hallmark channel. What gave Dorothy the most joy in life, was spending time with her family, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her children, Jack (Brenda Frazier) Armagost, Mark (Michelle Marco) Armagost, Deborah (Mark) Belcher, Scott (Monica Mraz) Armagost, her siblings, Barbara (Ken) Heffner, Maureen (William) London, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Armagost, siblings, Marie (William) Grippo, Margaret (Ross) Donahue, Ellen (Thomas) Crozier, James Pyne, Elizabeth Diane (Robert) Huston and Frances Pyne. In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Haven Convalescent Home, 725 Paul St. New Castle, Pa. 16101.
