Dorothy V. Booher, age 99, lifelong resident of Shenango Township, passed away the morning of June 1, 2018, at Rhodes Estates.
Born October 1, 1918, in New Castle, she was the daughter of James and Florence Maxwell Watt. On April 22, 1944, she married Bill Booher. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1979.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She loved crossword puzzles and playing games. Most of all, Dorothy loved spending time with her family. She was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by two sons; William J. (Bonnie) Booher of Cameron, North Carolina, and Richard A. (Mary Jo) Booher of New Castle, Pa., four grandchildren; Erin (Aaron) Cline, Amy (Anthony) Paiano, Jackie Wilson, Jason Lynn, and seven great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband; Bill, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Janet G. Lynn and one grandson; William Wayne Booher.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, from 4:00-6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will take place immediately following visitation, at 6:00 PM, with the Rev. Gary Dewitt of New Hope Wesleyan Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
