Dorothy P. Denney, 94, of Neshannock Township, passed away October 19, 2018 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born August 8, 1924 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Lucas) Pazak. She was preceded in death in November, 1982 by her husband of 38 years, Cecil Roy Denney, whom she married September 28, 1944. She was a graduate of New Castle High School in January, 1943. Throughout her lifetime, Dorothy was employed with Bell Telephone, Brindle Printing and Jameson Hospital, while also being a homemaker. Dorothy was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cecilia and Robert McCartt of New Castle; three grandchildren, Valerie McCartt, Robert McCartt, Jr., and Erin McCartt; six great-grandchildren, Kayla Conrad, Quentin Shaffer, Margaret McCartt, Maison McCartt, Makenna McCartt and Cadence McCartt; and one great-great-grandchild, Jolie Rae Conrad. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph S. Pazak. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private service was held for the family at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., with the Rev. John Yergan officiating. Burial was in Oak Park Cemetery.
