Dorothy M. Durst, 84, of Jameson Place, formerly of Beckford St., passed away the evening of August 29, 2013. Born July 6, 1929, in New Castle, she was the daughter of John A. and Gertrude Hill Mann.Dorothy married Anton J. Durst on June 9, 1948. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2006. A homemaker, Dorothy loved ceramics, travel and cheering on her beloved Steelers and Penguins. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, David J. and Loretta Durst, and Charles Durst; her sister, Lois Adele Mann, all of New Castle; her grandchildren, Kristin Durst, Andrea (James) Lewis, Kiley (Dan) Coulter, and Jason Durst; and her great granddaughter, Addilynn Rylee Durst. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Donald J. Durst; and a sister, Emily Mitchell. Visitation will be Sunday, September 1, 2013, from 3-6 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A service will be held immediately following visitation at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Michael Spicuzza will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Gardens.
