Dorothy E. Fox, 98, of New Castle, passed away the morning of June 8, 2014 at the Haven Convalescent Home. Dorothy was born on November 25, 1915, in New Castle, to the late John and Sarah Mansell Jones. She married George P. Fox whom preceded her in passing on June 25, 1981. Mrs. Fox was in the housekeeping department of the Jameson Memorial Hospital for 24 years. Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed family, friends, places and laughter and her life was filled with all of them. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Kroesen and her husband Donald, Sally Mellott, all of Edinburg; one brother, William E. Jones of Ottumwa, IA; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing by her 3 sisters, Helen Mae and Margaret Jones, Edith Ellsworth and one brother Jack Jones. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., New Castle. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Richard Helsel will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
