Obituary

Dorothy L. Glitch, 81, of East Hazelcroft Ave., passed away peacefully the afternoon of Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, with her husband and family at her side.Born Aug. 25, 1928, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Brest Williams.She married Lewis J. Glitch Sept. 19, 1950. He survives.Dorothy was a co-manager of Neshannock Woods with her husband for 12 years. Previously she was a housewife and also the co-owner with her husband of Family Crafts in Wisconsin.She attended New Castle High School and enjoyed crafts, sewing, knitting, spending time with her family and being a wife and mother.She was a former member of Church of the Nazarene in New Castle and East Liberty Church of the Nazarene in East Liberty, Ohio. She taught Sunday school and directed a children's choir in East Liberty.Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mary Elizabeth James of Sieverville, Tenn., Lois Jean Plaster of North Canton, Ohio, and Patty Ann Simpson of Limon, Colo.; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Charles Williams.Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev. John Wiseman of Bethel United Brethren Church will officiate.Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.Online condolences may be posted below.
