Dorothy M. McNees, 93, of 2411 Woodland Hills Drive, formerly of Northview Avenue, passed away at her residence the morning of July 2, 2012.Born September 13, 1918, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Emanuel H. and Ethel Patterson Alborn.She married Robert E. McNees on February 5, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2003.She was a graduate of New Castle High School.Dorothy was employed at Kerr's Jewelery for six years, but most of her life was spent as a homemaker, taking care of her husband and four children.Dorothy was an active member of First Baptist Church where she was a charter member of the Ethel Hurst Class. She was a Sunday school teacher for 25 years and active with the Sparklers Group and GALS of First Baptist.She is survived by two daughters, Judy and Lloyd McSparran of Pittsburgh and Marilyn and Jack McNees of Beaver Falls; two sons, William R. and Kathy McNees of New Castle and Donald W. and Kelley McNees of Portland, OR; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband Bob, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Alborn and one sister, Anna Ubry.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev.
