Dorothy J. Pollman, age 92, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Nov. 22, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Dec. 7, 1929, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Maybelle (Fliermanns) McCoy.

On June 10, 1949, she married her husband, Erwin A. Pollman, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2012.

For several years Dorothy worked as a librarian and secretary. After her retirement she worked at Alpine Trail Vet Clinic. Sewing, quizbooks and crossword puzzles were some of Dorothy's favorite activities. She attended Faith Country Chapel. What gave Dorothy the most joy in life, was spending time with her beloved family.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Pollman of New Castle, PA; two sons, Gary L. (Nancy) Pollman of New Castle PA, and Dr. Mark K. (Cindie) Pollman of Slippery Rock, PA; four grandchildren, Andrew (Elsbeth) Pollman, James (Allison) Pollman, Tyler Pollman and Logan Pollman; and three great grandchildren, Olesya, Ezra and Beaumont Pollman.

Visitation will be held on Monday Nov. 28th from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jason Doolittle and Pastor Russ Van Nest, both of Faith County Chapel, officiating.

Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
