Dorothy M. Williams, 93, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of May 3, 2015 at Avalon Nursing Center. Born October 30, 1921 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Clifford and Mary Spesak Braddock. She was preceded in death in August, 1988 by her husband of 47 years, Thomas C. Williams, whom she married on April 26, 1941. In addition to her love for travel, Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her companion and friend of 25 years, Larry Cullen. She formerly attended St. Joseph the Worker Church. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Borst of New Castle; two sons, Thomas C. (Alice) Williams of Webster, NY, and William Kent (Connie) Williams of New Castle; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her companion Larry Cullen of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Greg Williams; one sister, Lois Lawry; one brother, Charles Braddock; and two grandsons, Kenny and Michael Williams. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Bupp officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
