Dorothy Ann "Dotty" Burner Wright, age 87, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 12, 2023, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born in Buckhannon, West Virginia November 22, 1935, to Harold Burner and Tressa Tallman Burner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James W. Burner, and her husband of 53 years Lambert "Burt" Wright.

She is survived by her children, Gregory Wright and Pamela Wright Louderback, as well as grandchildren Lila Nidetz Wright and William Joseph Louderback.

She was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School and Miami University of Ohio. She worked several years as Training Manager for the Higbee Company in Cleveland, Ohio. In New Castle, she was bookkeeper for 18 years at the family-owned Wright's Furniture. She was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, the American Association of University Women and the Town and Country Garden Club of Lewiston, New York. She loved her flower gardens, ceramics, listening to music, and playing on the computer.

Dotty spent her final years at Clen Moore Place as a beloved Resident Ambassador, always happy to greet new residents and help them adjust. She was well known for her wry sense of humor and friendly attitude.

She will be interred at Heavener Cemetery in Buckhannon, West Virginia next to her husband, parents, and brother.
