Dorothy Jane Young, age 91, of New Castle, went to be with her Lord and Savior the afternoon of July 22, 2020. Born Oct. 19, 1928, in Warren, OH, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Anna (Burton) Korth. On July 3, 1953, she married her beloved husband of 63 years, Samuel Ivan Young. He preceded her in death. Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of New Castle High School. She worked at Fisher Brothers Dry Good Company, in sales, and then went on to work at Berkley Supermarket, in New Castle, for 35 years as head of stocking shelves and as a cashier. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and crocheting. She will always be remembered for loving Jesus with her whole heart, being a born again Christian and for loving her brothers and sisters in Christ. Dorothy was an active member of New Hope Family Worship Center where she taught Sunday school, was the Sunday school treasurer and was involved in Woman's Missionary. Dorothy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Victoria Young, of New Castle and a brother-in-law, William (Bill) Young and his wife Donna of New Wilmington, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Dale Young. A private service was held at the R.
