Douglas John Reese, 55, of Chippewa Township, PA (formerly of Neshannock Township, PA), passed away on May 29, 2013 of congestive heart failure. Douglas was born in New Castle, PA on October 13, 1957. He graduated from Neshannock High School in 1975. Doug worked as a general laborer, cook, insurance salesman and security guard. He enjoyed cooking, genealogy and Christian activities. He was also actively involved at the New Castle Church of God. Doug was married to the former Elsa Jean Hays Shroads on December 23, 1999; they were married 13 years. Doug is also survived by son, Daniel James Reese; stepchildren, Elizabeth Marie Latey, Holly Anne Matlock, David Lehi Shroads, Robert Joseph Perkins, Carolyn Ayers, Katherine Michelle Roberts, Daniel Jacob Shroads, Lara Margarret Shroads; sisters, Sylvia Ann Richeal, Elizabeth Edith Love, Linda Lee Simon; brothers, Randolph Albert Reese, Samuel Mark Reese, and other family members. Doug is preceded in death by spouse, Katharine Jane Reed Reese (Married 1990-1996); parents, Samuel John Reese and Edith Elizabeth Humble; sisters, Gay Elizabeth Williams and Rita Mae Crisci. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at the New Castle Church of God, 905 Highland Avenue, New Castle, PA. Pastor Ron Mounts will be officiating.
