Dorothy L. Giroux, 89, of Edinburg, PA, peacefully passed away the night of July 12, 2014.Born November 24, 1924 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Ward Karns and Loretta Taylor Young.She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Hank" Giroux, in 1969.She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Giroux of Malvern, PA; one sister, Marcia Leathers of Valrico, FL; two cousins, Carl Clark and Cindy Hammer of New Castle; and her dear friend for the last few years, Snooky Roberts.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Young.At Dorothy's request, there will be no calling hours or service. A private burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.Arrangements are being handled by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmingon Road.
