Esther Louise Parshall, age 81, of New Castle, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025 after a brief illness, with her loving family at her side.

Born in New Castle on January 25, 1944, she was the daughter of Howard and Esther (McConnel) Conrad.

She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Ronald "Tom" Parshall. They were married on February 14, 1963.

Louise was a secretary to the pastoral staff of Faith Country Chapel for 12 years. She then worked as an accounts receivable bookkeeper for Golden Hill Nursing Home for another 12 years. Later, she was employed as a Lead Supervisor of Applications in the Office of Personnel Management for the United States Government for 20 years until her retirement in 2010.

Louise had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed teaching Sunday school for 35 years at Faith Country Chapel and First Assembly of God. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in New Wilmington.

Louise was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished every minute of time spent with her family, enjoyed reading, Bible studies, solving and building puzzles, taking long car rides, being an avid spectator at her children and grandchildren's activities, and being present in moments of their wonderful accomplishments.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Yeykal of New Castle and Tammi (Bob) Gavlik of McMurray, PA; one son, Andrew (Allison) Parshall of Moon Township, PA; six grandchildren, Hannah Yeykal, Rachael and Robert Gavlik, Audra, Aiden and Alexa Parshall; and her sister Joyce (Dave) McConahy of Saxonburg, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Lee Conrad and Doris Kay Mills, and her brother, Raymond Howard Conrad.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 3, from10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 3, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Warren Sullivan officiating.

Burial will take place in Oak Park Cemetery.
