Earl H. Comstock, 94, formerly of New Castle, PA passed away the morning of May 31, 2021 in Naples, FL. Born on July 28, 1926, in New Castle, he was the son of Reba (Leighty) Comstock and Clifford Comstock. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Calvin) Comstock whom he married August 11, 1951, and his brother Bill Comstock. Earl is survived by one daughter, Janet (Van) Mancuso of Naples, FL; and one son, John (Sally) Comstock of Rock Hill, SC. Earl is also survived by four grandchildren: Mark Mancuso, Lindsey DeCambaliza, Bryan Blair, and Darcy Comstock Long. He has seven great grandchildren: Dietrich Mancuso; Miles and Camila DeCambaliza; Madison, Ben, and Sarah Blair; and Patrick Long. Earl was a graduate of New Castle High School and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Robert Morris College, PA. He was an accountant for many years. He served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1945. He enjoyed hunting, hiking, bird watching, and spending time with his family and friends. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and he was a member of many local civic organizations. Friends may attend visitation at R. Cunningham Funeral Home at 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, June 11th. Following the visitation, Aaron Lego, Pastor of Grace Chapel Community Church located in Hermitage, PA will officiate the service beginning at 11:00 AM. A private graveside service for family members will be held at Oak Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church of New Castle, PA.
