Born April 10, 1934, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Grace (Houk) Badger.

On Aug. 11, 1990, he married his beloved wife of 34 years, Regina (Temenski) Badger. Ed was a wonderful, loving, caring, and interesting husband. The Badger's were inseparable, two peas in a pod, enjoying everyday moments, at the home they made together. He will be greatly missed by his wife.

Ed was a graduate of Shenango High School where he excelled as an all-around athlete, receiving many accolades. He earned the American Legion Award for his outstanding citizenship. He then went on to gain his master's degree, in education, from Westminster College.

Employed by Shenango School District, Ed taught social studies, government, and Pennsylvania History, to the Jr. High students for 40 years until his retirement in 1996. His students enjoyed his great sense of humor and fun personality. Ed worked with the students on the Lawrence County Trivia Team, coached several sports teams and helped with numerous other programs during his teaching career.

Ed was known for his polite and respectful manor with people. He was always a gentleman. Ed was a skilled craftsman in construction, masonry, roofing, and siding. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, Western movies and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. Ed was a member of the National Guard, Free Masons and served on the Neshannock Township Planning Commission. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church and in the past, Kings Chapel, Clen-Moore and Shenango Methodist Churches.

In addition to his wife, Regina, Ed is survived by his son, Scott Badger of Richmond, VA; cousins Don Badger and David Badger both of New Castle, PA; niece Susan Lohoefer and several great nieces and nephews all of Philadelphia, PA.
