Edward G. Reese, 81, of Katera's Kove, Wampum, PA, passed away the afternoon of December 6, 2011 at Ellwood City Hospital.Born January 10, 1930 in New Castle, PA, he was a son of Ernest and Martha Whitlatch Reese.He married Myrna L. Pearce on September 8, 1951. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2009.He graduated in 1948 from New Castle High School. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he served in the Army Artillery 176 Field Battalion.He was employed with Bruce and Merrilees Electric as an electrician for over 40 years.Ed was a member of IBEW Local 712 for over 50 years. He also was a member of the Mahoning- New Castle Lodge 243 Free and Accepted Masons, and a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Syria Shrine.He enjoyed fishing and frequently visiting his vacation home on Lake Marion in South Carolina.Ed was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.He is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Hague of Summerton, South Carolina.In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas C. Reese.At Edward's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
