Edward Charles Savage, Sr., age 66 of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Aug. 17, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born April 18, 1959, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of the late Foster N. and Goldie D. (Jones) Savage.

He married his wife of 46 years, Cheryl A. (Becker) Savage. She survives.

All his life, Edward was a carpenter. He loved building things with his hands. What gave him the most joy in life, was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include eight children, Tina R. Savage, Tina M. Rodgers, Edward C. Savage, Jr., Goldie L. Savage, Irva J. Savage, Foster N. Savage, Robin L. Savage; one brother, Steve Savage; grandchildren, Rayna A. Gasser, Joseph E. Gasser, Amber D. Savage, Kattie L. Savage, Jesse J. Savage, Kaylee A. Savage, David L. Savage, Raven A. Gasser, Ryan E. Savage, Buck H. Rodgers, Amy L. Savage, McKenzie Deerfield, Rosemarie J. Savage, Goldie L. Savage, Sebastian Snyder, Jr., Cheryl A. Savage; great-grandchildren, Leo C. Savage, Paul E. Rodgers, and Teia M. Savage.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly D. Savage, and several brothers and sisters.

A private service was held at the funeral home.
