Eileen M. Harrison, age 95 of New Castle, passed away the morning of Sept. 6th, 2021, at Quality Life Services – New Castle. Born Oct. 26, 1925, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Esther (McClintock) Eakin. On Oct. 18, 1946, she married her husband of 69 years, Edward Harrison. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2016. Eileen was a graduate of New Castle High School. She worked as a salesclerk at a local grocery store. She enjoyed bowling, reading, and crewel embroidery. Eileen was proudly crowned Ms. Quality Life Services, at a pageant held in Wexford, for all Quality Life Services locations. She was a member of the former First Christian Church where she served as a deaconess, helped with many dinners, vacation bible school, sang in the choir, and was an officer in her Sunday school class. What Eileen enjoyed the most in life, was spending time with her family. Eileen is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Moss of Portersville, PA, Jacque Speed of Pittsburgh, PA; three sons, James Harrison of Kent, OH, Jeffrey Harrison of McMurray, PA, and Jay Harrison, of New Castle, PA; one brother, Thomas Eakin of New Castle; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Eileen is preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Patricia Harrison, one brother, Richard Eakin, and one grandson, Christoffer. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at 1:30 PM at Northway Christian Community Church, Dormont Campus, 2865 Espy Ave., Dormont, PA 15216, where masks will be required for all visitors, vaccinated, or un-vaccinated, per the family's request. Rev. Paul Hunter will be officiating. Burial will be alongside her husband, at Castleview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
