Eileen Wray McLure passed away May 25, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida.Born August 2, 1918 in New Castle, PA, she was a daughter of William S. and Besse McDougall Wray.Her husband, Attorney Kenneth Mitchell McLure, predeceased her on December 6, 1991.Eileen lived in New Castle until 2005, when she moved to Florida. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and then Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, where she often volunteered while in New Castle.Mrs. McLure was very family oriented and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed gardening and traveling and visited over 50 countries with her husband.She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Jean (Joe) Halusky of St. Johns, FL; two sons, William (Anna) McLure of Hudson, OH and Bruce Wray McLure of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, David "Ayolane" Halusky and Donia Halusky (Bill) Crime of Jacksonville, Noelle McLure of Solon, OH, and Petra (Doug) Rick of Milford, NH; three great-grandchildren, Raven McLure, Zoe Rick and McLure "Mac" Crime.The family will receive friends at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, on Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m.A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation Thursday, June 7, 2012, at 1:00 at the funeral home. The Rev. Chris Weichman will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
