Elba M. Glenn, 91, of New Wilmington, passed away the evening of September 30, 2011 in Shenango Presbyterian SeniorCare.Born November 16, 1919 in New Castle, PA, she was a daughter of Lester B. and Phoebe A. Ward Reynolds.She married Wilmer L. Glenn on December 31, 1941. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1999.She was a graduate of New Castle High School and New Castle Business College.Elba was formerly employed with J. Francis Boak Insurance Agency and with the Neshannock Township Tax Collector as an office manager. She was a member of the Heirloom Club of YWCA and a former member of Eastern Star. She was a culinary artist, an accomplished quilt maker and enjoyed gardening.A member of Shenango Presbyterian Church for eighty plus years, she was also a member of the Prime Timers and the treasurer of her Sunday school class.Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie and Lee Perkins of Greenville, SC and Betsy and Robert Shaffer of New Castle; one sister, Alice Reynolds Lenz of Greenville, SC; two grandchildren, Phoebe (Tim) Hohn and Greg (Veronica) Shaffer; and five great-grandchildren, Landon Shaffer, Aidan Shaffer, Collin Shaffer, Hope Watkins and Hunter Hohn.In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Hilbert, James and Edson Reynolds.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Amy Na will officiate.
