Eleanor Muriel (Blake) McConahy, 79, of Neshannock Township, passed away the night of September 3, 2020 at her residence.
Born March 23, 1941 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Paul and Ethel (Dodds) Blake who preceded her in death.
Eleanor married Donald McConahy on September 28, 1962, celebrating almost 58 years of marriage.
A 1959 graduate of New Castle High School, she was employed with First Merit Bank for 27 years, until her retirement on March 31, 2004.
A member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, she attended the JONO Sunday School class. She enjoyed attending SilverSneakers and watching various sports and was a member of the Rapid Tappets Car Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jeffrey P. (Susan) McConahy of Louisville, KY and John E. (Erika) McConahy of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, Dwight Blake; two sisters, Shirley Hardie and Mary Louise (James) Reed; and four grandchildren, Blake J. McConahy, Gabriella M. Harsh, Shane T. McConahy and Shannon L. McConahy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, from 11:00-1:00 at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church, 220 Clen-Moore Blvd., New Castle.
A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at the church Tuesday at 1:00 with Pastor Aaron Christy officiating.
Visitors are asked to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding wearing face masks and practicing social distancing.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery.
