Elener McCreary, 90, of New Castle, passed away the evening of September 12, 2013 at Grove Manor in Grove City, PA. Born November 5, 1922 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Albert W. and Sarah Shealer Bauman. Elener was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wesley Edwin McCreary, on February 13, 2007. They were married September 22, 1945. Elener was a homemaker and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lynne McCreary of Grove City, and Robert and Jeannie McCreary of Lancaster; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. A service will be held on Saturday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Graceland Memorial Chapel in Graceland Cemetery and will be officiated by Rev. Andrew Jillson.
