Elizabeth Leona Bailey, 82, of Sunview Drive, New Castle, died the morning of April 15, 2010 in UPMC Horizon Hospital.Born March 31, 1928, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Edward Patrick and Anna Loretta Hilgert Miner. She married Daniel L. Bailey, Sr.on June 4, 1949. He preceded her in death September 20, 1988. She was a cashier with the former Gaylord's Department Store.Elizabeth enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.She was of Catholic faith.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel L. and Terri Bailey, Jr. of New Castle; one daughter, Becki Stiger of New Castle; two sisters, Phyllis Reiser of Columbus, OH and Carolyn Chandler; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne Santillo; one brother, Edward Miner; and one sister, Dolores Dickson.A private service was held Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Wilmington Road, New Castle. Father Robert Schweitzer officiated.Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
