Elizabeth "Betty" Chrobak, 78, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of March 30, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born October 31, 1942 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Clyde and Buella (Graham) McCurdy. She was preceded in death on January 21, 1998 by her husband of 34 years, Raymond A. Chrobak, whom she married June 1, 1963. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed reading Beverly Lewis novels, gardening, baking and sewing. She was member of New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she loved attending church activities. She is survived by her two sons, David R. (Beth) Chrobak of New Castle, and Steven J. (Jennifer) Chrobak of Cranberry; four grandchildren, Tiffany J. (Alan D.) Gibbons, Zachary T. Chrobak, Julia Chrobak and Grace Chrobak; and one great-grandchild, Carter J. Gibbons. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Curtis officiating.
