Elizabeth Lindroos, 85, of 820 E. Lutton Street, passed away the morning of November 4, 2010 at Jameson Hospital.Born October 3, 1925 in New Castle, PA, she was a daughter of Onni and Helmi Purola Pakkanen.She was a 1943 graduate of New Castle High School and was employed as an executive secretary for Joseph Kennedy in New York.Elizabeth's love was for cats and showing great compassion for them.She was member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.She is survived by one brother, John Pakkanen of New York, NY.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lauri Pakkanen.A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Erin Smith of Good Shepherd Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
