Elizabeth A. Phillips, 89, of Neshannock Township, died the afternoon of December 23, 2014 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab following a four month illness. Born February 18, 1925 in Sharon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frederick L. and Cora A. Patterson. She married Raymond A. Phillips, Jr. on August 14, 1948. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2004. Elizabeth was a graduate of Sharon High School. She worked for the Bell Telephone Co. Mrs. Phillips attended First Alliance Church. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother who placed the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by three daughters, Jan Jenista of Bradford, NH, Susan Phillips of New Castle, and Diane Dunn and son-in-law Joseph of Lititz, PA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Frederick L. Patterson, Jr.; a daughter Karen A. Browne; and a granddaughter Lindsay C. Dunn. According to her wishes, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held for the family at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, conducted by Pastor Philip Harrison of First Alliance Church. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the City Rescue Mission, 319 S.
