Elizabeth A. Richards, 50, of New Castle, passed away the morning of June 13, 2013 at her residence. Born Feb. 14, 1963 in New Castle, she was the daughter of William D. and Jane M. Carr Richards. Elizabeth graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor's degree and then from the University of Pittsburgh with a master's degree. She was a certified registered nurse practitioner and was employed by Take Care Health and ABC Pediatrics. She raised horses, loved animals, enjoyed making soap, homemade goods, canning, and crafts. She was a 4H Club leader, an avid reader, who was surrounded by a loving circle of family and friends. Elizabeth is survived by a daughter, Tori Richards of New Castle; two brothers, Jeffrey Richards and William Richards and his wife, Antonetta of New Castle; five nephews; one niece; and two grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1991; her mother in 2013; and her paternal and maternal grandparents. Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday following visitation.
