Elizabeth B. Strizzi, age 87, of Neshannock Township, PA, passed away on April 25, 2024, at her home with family by her side.

Her parents, Richard and Blanche (Dutkins) Coe welcomed their daughter into the world on December 24, 1936, in Orange, NJ.

Elizabeth graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University in 1958 with a B.A. in English Literature. She worked as a journalist for several newspapers, including the Patriot Ledger as correspondent for the town of Marshfield, MA.

Elizabeth enjoyed her cats, morning coffee, birds, gardening, reading, and travel; her favorite TV shows, Grey's Anatomy, General Hospital and Friends; spending time with her beloved family, and getting together with her many friends.

She is survived by her three children, Richard Long and his wife Beth, Katherine Batista, Susan Furtado and her husband Sean; her four stepchildren, David Strizzi and his wife Martha, Dana Strizzi and his wife Heidi, Lisa Strizzi, and John Strizzi; 11 grandchildren, KC and Zachary, Amanda and Nelson, Sammy, Riley, Michael and Caiti, Adam, Justin and Dillin; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister Judy Homeyer; and her dear friend Will Rotunno. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, David Strizzi, and her son, Rowland Long.

Visitation will be Friday May 3rd from 4-7pm at the Cunningham Funeral Home in New Castle, and Saturday May 4th from 10-11am at Northminster Presbyterian Church in New Castle.

Funeral services will be Saturday May 4th at 11am at Northminster Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Jordan Rimmer officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Crane Room in New Castle.

Donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the National Audubon Society or the American Cancer Society.
