Elverino Fraschetti, 87, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of December 13, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born December 23, 1926 in New Castle, he was a son of John and Nellie Fraschetti. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pasqualina Fusco Fraschetti, whom he married February 13, 1964 in Avella, Italy. Mr. Fraschetti was self employed, owning several businesses, including the Ritz Bar, Cascade Lounge, and New Castle Chemical Company. Among his many interests, he enjoyed playing cards, gardening and fishing. His greatest joy, however, was time he spent with his family. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Maria (Walter) Conner and Linda (Paul) Maas, of New Castle; two sons, Frank (Karen) Fraschetti and Elverino (Stephanie) Fraschetti, Jr. of New Castle; and five grandchildren, Shaun Conner, Frankie Fraschetti, Ryan Conner, Paul Maas, and Ellia Fraschetti. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Fraschetti. A private blessing service was held at the convenience of the family. Entombment was in St. Mary's Mausoleum.
