Elvira Masters, age 95, of Neshannock Twp., passed away the afternoon of Aug. 21, 2024, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born Nov. 12, 1928, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Arena) Rocco.

On Sept. 26, 1959, she married her beloved husband, Mike John Masters, who preceded her in death.

Elvira was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She worked as a cashier, employed by Loccisano's Grocery Store, for several years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and crossword puzzles. What gave her the most joy in life, was cooking for her family and spending time with them. She attended Holy Spirit Parish in New Castle, PA.

Survivors include her daughter Deborah Ann (Mike) DeSantis of New Castle, PA; son Michael Samuel (Heidi) Masters of Bessemer, PA one brother, Anthony Rocco of Ellwood City, PA; and four grandchildren, Amber, Tailor, Emilee and Ashlee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Elvira was preceded in death by three brothers, Carlo, Nick and Valentino Rocco, four sisters, Rose Venditti, Edith Pacella, Theresa Deloia, & Jenny Grant.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Aug. 24th from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105.

A blessing service will take place immediately following visitation at 12:30 PM, at the funeral home, with Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish officiating.

Burial will be at St. Lucy's Cemetery.
