Emmy Lou Micco, 89, of Beatty Avenue, passed away the morning of September 17, 2014 at Golden Hill Nursing Home.Born April 28, 1925 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Patsy and Anna Licciardi Micco.She was a 1942 graduate of New Castle High School.Emmy Lou was employed with Mesta Machine and United Engineering in the traffic department until she became the manager of The Ladies of the Dukes.She enjoyed playing Bingo and frequenting garage sales, and was a member of The Ladies of the Dukes and of St. Vitus Church.She is survived by several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Angeline Panella, Victoria Tomasello, Louise Cooper and Carolyn Casalandra; and 4 brothers, Peter, Andrew, Anthony and Lewis Micco.Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A blessing service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 5:15 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Father Frank Almade, pastor of St. Vitus Church, will officiate.Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
