Emma E. Weatherby, 19, of New Castle, passed away the morning of April 13, 2018 at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Emma was the epitome of strength and grace. Born September 15, 1998, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Jon W. Weatherby II and Melissa K. Sherwood. Emma was a 2017 graduate of Neshannock High School , where she was a cheerleader. She attended Clarion University. Emma enjoyed participating in and attending musicals, loved children and hanging out with her friends. Emma had a very special bond with her brother Ethan. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents; Jonathan and Carol Weatherby of New Castle, her maternal grandfather; Delaney Sherwood and wife Cathy of Eldred, Pa., and her brother Ethan Weatherby of New Castle. Preceding her in death, was her maternal grandmother; Diana Austin. Visitation will be Tuesday April 17th, 1:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday April 18th, 3:30-4:30 PM at First Baptist Church, 984 W. Maitland Lane, New Castle, Pa. 16105. A service will be held immediately following visitation on Wednesday at 4:30 PM, with the Rev. Scott Frederick and Rev. Josh Watts officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
