Erin Michelle Nollenberger-Raskowsky, age 37, of Volant, PA, passed away the morning of July 6, 2022, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Never giving up, she fought a very brave and courageous battle with cancer. Erin even taught herself how to talk again, after her Dr.'s said it wasn't possible.
Born Jan. 20, 1985, in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of Earl and Carol (Davis) Nollenberger, of Fayetteville, PA.
On Sept. 25, 2021, she married her beloved husband, Robert Raskowsky. He survives at home.
Erin was a graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School and went onto study Fine Arts at Slippery Rock University. For three years she was a caregiver in Polk, PA. Erin enjoyed art, photography, drawing and pottery. She had a great love for and taking care of children and her beloved pets. Erin enjoyed the outdoors and tending to her garden and flowers. Erin was a member of Memorial Lutheran in Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, Erin is survived by two sisters, Lisa (Jason) DeMeese of Silver Spring, MD and Megan (Daniel) Sandberg of Long Island, NY; and one nephew, Carter.
Erin was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and her dog, Molly.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
