Ethel V. McClymonds, 96, of Ellwood Road, New Castle, passed away the morning of May 7, 2013 at Carriage Court. Born Nov. 29, 1916, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Milton W. and Pearl Kildoo McCracken. Ethel married J. Wendell McClymonds June 1, 1938. He passed away Aug. 19, 1990. A homemaker, she was a member of the Liberty Grange, and T.O.P.S. Ethel loved taking bus trips, and enjoyed crocheting scrubbies and slate painting. She was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church and belonged to the Dorcas Society. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and John Welther of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald W. and Jean McClymonds of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, John Welther, Jr. and Jill R. Kerchner and her husband John; and three great grandchildren, Heather Emerich, Hilary Kerchner and Jake Welther. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaylord McCracken and Raymond W. McCracken; and two sisters, Mildred Raabe and Gladys Miles. Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 154 Fairground Road. The Rev. Gary Waguespack will officiate. Burial will be at Neshannock United Presbyterian Cemetery.
