Ethel L. Michaels, 81, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 4, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born December 6, 1938 in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of Paul W. and Leora (Burke) Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Dale Michaels, whom she married June 28, 1958. A graduate of Shenango High School, Ethel was a bookkeeper at Sporting Goods, Inc. and a tax professional with H & R Block. She enjoyed researching genealogy and loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Douglas E. (Christine) Michaels of New Castle and Richard J. (April) Michaels of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Beverly Hall of New Castle; 3 grandchildren, Douglas R. (Melinda) Michaels of Pittsburgh, Cody R. Michaels of Boise, Idaho, and Tyler Michaels of Indianapolis, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and a sister. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.
