Eula Jane Johnston Lutz, 85, of 186 Citrus Ridge Drive, Davenport, FL, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2010 at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.Eula was born June 23, 1925, in New Castle to the late Richard Edwin and Elora Anderson Johnston.She married Eugene Paul Lutz on July 9, 1944. He survives at their residence in Florida.Eula served as a registered nurse before retiring.While living in New Castle, she was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church.She served as past Worthy Advisor for the Rainbow Girls, Worthy Matron Shenango Chapter #333 and member of the Order of Eastern Star.Eula most loved traveling, boating and camping with her family.In addition to her husband, Eula is survived by four daughters, Thelora Gene Brady of Kissimmee, FL, Jane Ann (Paul) Sullivan of New Castle, PA, Joycelyn Lee Calvert of Davenport, FL, Darlene (Robert) Francis of Winter Park, FL; one son, Richard Eugene (Shelley) Lutz of Marco Island, FL; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a former son-in-law, John Byers Jr of Pointe Sienna, FL.In addition to her parents, Eula was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis E. and Warren C. Johnston.Visitation will be Friday, July 23, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan of First Baptist Church will officiate.Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
