Eulene J. Shope 95, of New Castle, PAEulene J. Shope, 95, of New Castle, PA, passed away the morning of March 2, 2010 in the Overlook Medical Clinic.Born on August 13, 1914 in Clermont, GA, she was the daughter of the late William and Lula Tanner Wheeler. She was married to Lincoln R. Shope. He passed away on December 17, 1977. Mrs. Shope retired from Strouss' in New Castle. She also worked as a seamstress for many of the ladies stores in the area. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and pie baking.Eulene is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judith G. (Paul) Stodolak of New Castle and one son, William W. Shope of Dearborn, MI, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, five brothers, one step sister and her step mother.Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, from 5-8 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle. Visitation and service will also take place at William R. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home in Clermont, Georgia. Burial will be in Wahoo Cemetery, Clermont, GA.
