Everett E. Barker, Sr., age 86, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of August 6, 2024, at Quality Life Services Grove City.

Born May 19, 1938, in Pontiac, Michigan, he was the son of Everett P. and June (Atkins) Barker.

Everett was the owner of Barker Garage Doors in New Castle until his retirement in 2000.

In addition to playing the PA Lottery, he enjoyed making occasional visits to the casinos and to bet on horses. He loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Everett E. (Vicki) Barker, Jr. of New Castle and Jon (Mary Kay) Barker of Wampum; one brother, Alan (Linda) Barker of Vallejo, CA; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his companion, Pearl Brest.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Barb Barker on Feb. 2, 2011, and a daughter-in-law, Jeannette Barker in 2016.

In keeping with Everett's wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
